Congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory!

A celebratory meeting and flowers-laying ceremony took place at Krastsvetmet memorial stele in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory on May 7, 2015. The company and Gymnasium N7 students came together to express appreciation to the people who sacrificed their lives and years of hard work in the name of victory.

"It was a tragic time in life, work and struggle of our vast country, populated by more than one hundred nationalities. But there was one victory for us all! Our people showed the whole world that we are invincible and capable of so very much. No country had as many losses during the Second World War as the Soviet Union did. However, in that period, the North and South poles were conquered, in only five years after the war our manufacturing industries recovered, and new advanced technologies, including space exploration, were created. It was one of our nationals - the first in human history- who travelled into space.” CEO Mikhail Dyagilev said congratulating the veterans.

On behalf of the veterans, Pyotr Mikhailovich Khakhalev delivered a moving speech. He spoke of his experience on the front lines, and how hard it was for everyone during the war – soldiers, home front workers and children. Pyotr Mikhailovich wished that future generations would not lose that sense of unity and mutual assistance among people of different nationalities fighting for the good of their country protecting its interests, that all helped to survive and win at the time.

A performance by students from gymnasium №7 brightened up the event. They recited poems devoted to the Great Victory. The meeting ended with the laying of fresh flowers to the fallen in World War II soldiers memorial stele. After the meeting the veterans continued communicating at the festive table.
